It was pretty difficult to choose something to be the first “favorite thing” in this new category.  So I decided to choose one of the most recent things I have come across (and loved) to share with you…

Vera Bradley bags are great.  I think they are just adorable, and with so many styles and colors to choose from they are pretty practical, too.  It seems like there is a bag for everyone’s taste and for all occasions.

Well, my appreciation for the bags (and the company) has just increased tremendously.  Recently, while I was at dinner with girlfriends, I learned about the bags that are designed specifically to raise money and awareness for the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.  “50% of net proceeds from the sale of these items will be donated to the Vera Bradley Foundation for Breast Cancer.”  A lot of times you hear that a “percentage” or a “portion” of proceeds will go to a cause being promoted (and even though it is not 100%) I still think that 50% is pretty good!
